Need a sharp eye and a savvy aquarist...
Hi there, does anyone know what this is? It started growing a few months ago... It does not seem to be aggressive, except is it kinda smothering my polyps... It is quite a pretty color; lime green with a pure white base on each stem and it is kinda fuzzy. It never changes day or night... anyone seen anything like this?... I'm guessing a weird kind of algae that I should have removed ages ago. All guesses welcome as I am stumped and the internet has failed to accommodate me, heh.. ty...Sheri

It's a calcium based Algea and nothing will eat it. I have tons of it in my tank. Not a bad thing. Many people on reefcentral would like some. Just prune it regularly to make sure it doesn't get out of hand.

Thank you 95accord! I also read it is a calcium lover and is a good sign of adequate levels.
